Self improvement and productivity (20)

Hey everyone, in this article, I am going to give some tips to become more productive while working from home. Let’s begin.

Your own dedicated work desk

It is really important for your productivity. It gives you a sense of responsibility like you get when you are in the office. Luckily, you don’t need a fancy office at home, you just need a corner space or a different room where you can set up your work table and vallah, start working. When you work at different places like the hall, kitchen, bedroom, balcony, it can give you temporal stress relief but continued working there, it makes you less productive, you get lost every time in things that you can not focus.

Set some boundaries

When you are working from home, it’s obvious that you are gonna get distracted by your friends, families. You are at home now, and most probably you will have to get involved in family matters even you don’t want to. Since you are at home, your family and friends might think that you are available every time an

Thousands of studies have demonstrated that mindfulness meditation can improve mental and physical health. Mindfulness has been shown to help people reduce stress, sleep better, focus better, and improve relationships. I am here to talk about the 7 benefits of mindfulness. Let’s begin

Removes anxiety and depression

Meditation has been demonstrated to be just as helpful as pharmaceuticals in reducing anxiety and depression symptoms. It raises the body's prana (life force) level. Anxiety lessens automatically when the prana level rises, according to Ayurveda.

Enhance focus, energy, and memory

Meditation enhances concentration and allows you to be present at the moment. If you pay attention, you'll see that the mind oscillates between the past and the future. We are either enraged by the past or fearful of the future. Meditation assists in bringing the mind back to the present moment. As a result, your focus and attention span will improve. Meditation increases grey matter in the brain, which

Taking everything personally

Do you take everything personally? This habit causes so many problems in your life. It brings anger and anxiety. It makes you believe that the world is against you. But the truth is most of the things have nothing to do with you. If someone cuts you in traffic or if a stranger slammed the door on your face, well it’s not about you. It’s about them. We’re so wrapped up in our own thoughts that we make everything about ourselves. If something happens, we assume that we are the root cause of that problem. But most people have already preoccupied with their own thoughts and you are probably the last person in their mind. They might honk at you because they had a bad day, not because you are driving too slow. It only feels personal because you made it personal.

Trying to control everything

If someone tries to control you and put their nose in your business every time, how’d that make you feel? Not good I presume. You want that other people don’t interfere in your l

You don't believe in status quos

You don't believe all the advice people throw at you. 'Invest in mutual funds' 'Don't do business, there is so much risk',  'you need to get a degree, in order to succeed in life, of you need to have this, you need to have that, blah blah blah'

We live in a world that is constantly changing. The best way to get success is not the best way to get succeed 100 years ago. Now think about it, getting a degree was not even an option 200 years ago. and like 1000 years ago, every family had a business and yet we tell people not to start one now. Those who become rich question half of the things they are taught. They realize that most of the things aren't true anymore. This allows them to spot the opportunities way before other people can realize, which gives them a first-mover advantage and also a lot of money if they are right. Because you make the most money batting on things that others are not.

You don't show off and keep a budget

Put a smile on

A genuine, friendly smile will increase your likeability and demonstrate to the interviewer that you have personality. You don't want to come across as too serious or negative; no one wants to work with people like that every day. Smile, laugh if appropriate, but don't make it look too forced or manic, or you'll come across as scary. It immediately creates a sense of warmth and trust in the other person.

Always make eye contact

Eye contact is extremely important, as long as it is used appropriately. Why do you think it's important to keep eye contact with a police officer when you're pulled over? Eye contact should be maintained 80 percent of the time. Keeping your eyes level with the person you're communicating with shows them you're self-assured and confident. This is especially useful if you're explaining or presenting a difficult or valuable message.

Keep your shoulders up

You complain a lot

The worst thing you could do is to complain rather than finding a solution. The world does not owe you anything. Everyone has a problem that needs to be solved. Complaining wastes time, and as a result, the real problem takes longer to resolve. Rather than whining and blaming others, use that time to solve the problem. Complaining not only casts a negative light on everything but also makes it more difficult to be creative and find solutions. A pessimist is never open to new ideas. Instead, try to be positive in order to bring out your creativity. Instead of complaining and exacerbating the situation, try to find a solution.

You spend your time aimlessly

Some activities are inherently aimless, carried out solely for the sake of pleasure at the moment. Spending time on social media, watching TV, playing video games, are examples of such an activity. These types of activities, in small doses of no more than an hour or two per day, can be an important part of decompressing

Life can be beautiful or ugly depending on how you want it to be. Many of us make things far more complicated than they need to be. We could be happier than we are now if we could just embrace our lives and live them simply.

Guilt, resentment, and the past

We all make mistakes; it's just a part of life. But don't let these blunders stay with you and shape your future. The only thing you can do is learn from your mistakes and grow as a person. If you believe you have offended someone, apologize and move on. Don't let the guilt and regret of the past steal your joy.

Holding on to Past mistakes and heartbreaks

We've all made mistakes and experienced heartbreak. But that was in the past. You will not be happy if you cling to the past, regret your mistakes, and feel guilty. Rather, you will sink deeper and deeper into despair. FORGIVE yourself for your errors, FORGET your heartbreaks, and move on. You will undoubtedly find happiness.

Obsessing over being always right

The ability to become your best version or I must say to reach your full potential. It can be understood by Abraham Maslow. He described self-actualization as the process of becoming “everything you are capable of becoming.”

Maslow’s pyramid- Maslow's hierarchy of needs is frequently mentioned in conversations about self-actualization. People must first satisfy four basic wants before they can satisfy the fifth need for self-actualization, according to him.

He organized these things into a pyramid (Lowest stage first)

  1. Physiological needs- Air, Water, Food, Shelter, Clothing, Reproduction
  2. Safety needs- Security, health, employment, etc.
  3. Love and belonging- Friendship, family, sense of connection, and socialization
  4. Esteem- Respect, self-esteem, status, recognition, strength, freedom
  5. Self-actualization- Desire to become the most that one can be.

While Maslow’s hierarchy is a nice way to understand the concept, but it’s not the only way. One can lack shelter but can still form relationships.

How do

A positive mindset is not rocket science. Everybody can have it; they just need a little push and perspective. Studies have shown that being optimistic and positive can reduce some major health risks such as cancer, heart disease, stroke, etc. It improves the quality of life, psychological and physical health, increases your energy level, lowers the rate of depression, also can make the healing process fast.

Now we talk about all the hidden benefits of it all day but first, we need to talk about how to get there? That’s why I am going to share a few tips to get a positive mindset. So without any further ado, let’s begin.

1. Be with positive people- This is the most important thing to focus upon. Negativity and positivity seem to be contagious. You got to stay away from negative people who have the potential to bring you down to the guilt, shame, negativity, and all the miserable traits they have. Have you ever noticed how a person in the bad mood can make everything go bad around you? On

So in the last article, we have talked about Parkinson’s disease. In this article, we are going to know more about it- Overview, Symptoms, and what to do.

What is Parkinson’s disease- Let’s start with some basics- in the United States around 60000  people are diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease each year. Usually, people of 60+ age diagnosed with this, but it can also happen to 40 or less year old people. Doctors diagnose Parkinson's by checking the medical history and physical examination. They look for 2 or 3 classic motor symptoms which are resting tremor, stiffness, and slowness of movement, some people also experience walking imbalance problems.

It affects other body functions too such as cognitive changes, constipation, sleep problems, depression, etc. One of the hardest things about Parkinson’s that every person has their own unique journey with the disease. They all have different sets of symptoms.

So if everyone has different Parkinson’s, then what is the similarity? For that let’
